The game, hosted by the Rockland Boulders and Triple P Promotions, will raise funds to benefit 23-year-old West Nyack native, Tommy McGuire, whose swimming accident resulted in a severe spinal cord injury, paralyzing him from the neck down.

"As an athlete, we are very fortunate to work with Triple P Promotions and to be able to support anybody who has any disability," said Ron Blomberg, the first designated hitter in MLB history. "Our goal is to help them be successful with the hardships they are facing."

Some of the players set to play are former Giants Eric Dorsey, Stephen Baker, Sean Landetta and Odessa Turner, as well as former Yankees Rick Cerrone, Jim Leyritz, Brian Boehringer, Jeff Nelson, Charlie Hayes, Roy White and Ron Blomberg. More players will be announced, and the rosters may change.

The $20 ticket also includes a complimentary ticket to the Boulders' game against the Quebec Capitales that evening.

Gates will open at 2 p.m., when Jimmy Kenny & the Pirate Beach Band will perform as part of Rockland's annual Beach Bash. The first 1,000 attendees will receive a Boulders bucket hat. It's also a "Pups in the Park" day, and kids 13 and under can run the bases after the game.

The softball game will be from 2:30-4 p.m. Buy tickets online here, at the box office or by calling 845-364-0009. Call for group tickets.

A limited number of meet-and-greet opportunities with the players are available for $100 and include a ticket in the Community Rooms on the suite level. These are only available online.

The Boulders game will begin at 5, and regular game pricing will resume at 4 p.m., at which time all Groupon, Living Social, Pack Vouchers and unused season tickets can be used.

"We are all about creating fun, entertaining events for the community while integrating our love and passion for the NY sports teams," said Elaine Apfelbaum, Triple P Promotions president. "We are always proud to work with these fine athletes to support such worthwhile causes."
